Changing my default handling time.

I would like to change my handling time permanently from 2 days to 5 days. I list using the Ebay app on my iPhone. When listing I forget to change the handling time. As a college student I find it very difficult to meet the 2 day deadline. As a result my account's seller performance forecast is below standard. Now I have to pay additional fees on my monthly invoice. I called Ebay's tech support, but there was no known solution by the representative. I feel that Ebay should understand and value my attempt to get an education. It seems to me that they do not care about my issue. I would like to know if any other sellers have had this issue and is there a solution? I hope that someone can assist me, or better yet Ebay resolves this issue!

Re: Changing my default handling time.

eBay sees the management of your seller's account as your responsibility.  Therefore, changing the handling time on your listings is something you have to do.   Listing with eBay's app on  a cell phone has some known limitations.  It is much easier to manage with a laptop or desktop computer.  With the millions of sellers on eBay they aren't  going to babysit anyone's listings regardless of their personal circumstances.  Your need to get an education is not a relevant issue in managing your listings. Everyone has a personal life but eBay is a business site with specific expectations.  So it's completely up to you to manage and make sure that you have selected the appropriate handling time for your listings.

Re: Changing my default handling time.

Hi, I’m not sure if your issue is that eBay doesn’t care about your education, or the inability to bulk edit handling time within the mobile app.

I may be able to help you with updating handling time if you’re using an iOS device. I run 99% of my eBay business from an iPhone 8 and this has worked for me.

Go to eBay using your phone’s browser (not the app),  then swipe the menu on your phone  (see photo) and select “request desktop site”. 05D57667-8492-4CDC-A853-949445B375AF.jpeg

That will force the site to stay on  desktop version for the entire user session. This works better than using eBay’s “classic site” on mobile.

From there, go to your active listings, select all of them and bulk edit the handling time.
