So, is it possible for a package to have an address change once it has been shipped? I sent package out to address on file and after USPS already scanned it, the buyer said it was wrong address. I sent to Washington and the new address is in Georgia. Totally across the country.
I see an option on USPS for Package Intercept Service. Does this work? And would the buyer need to handle this through the website?
Appreciate any feedback. Honestly first time over the years this happened after item was shipped.

You are the one who needs to do it and it costs like $15.00 to do it and then you will be out the money for the shipping label.

If your buyer doesn't have a forwarding order in place at that address, the package should eventually make its way back to you.
At that point, you can contact the buyer and ask if he still wants it.

Ask the buyer if they have a forwarding address on file with USPS?
If no, the package will ultimately be returned to you.

I would not mess with the intercept. It does not always work, you would be out the money and if you are being scammed, I would think that could impact your seller protections. I may be wrong on that. I don't know.
The package should come back to you. From there, I would refund the buyer less the original shipping, relist, and direct them to buy again if you would still like to deal with them.
