Cancelling unused USPS label

I recently bought a USPS shipping label on eBay but I wound up shipping the item with a label from Pirateship. I uploaded the Pirateship label tracking information and it has now been delivered.

Two issues:

How can I cancel or get a refund on the unused USPS label from eBay without canceling the sale?

The listing won't update as "delivered," presumably because eBay thinks that first label needs to get to the buyer. Is there a way to get rid of the unused USPS label from the tracking information related to the transaction?

You will have to 'edit' the tracking number (find the order, click 'edit' at the tracking) to update to the correct one. (you may be 'dinged' for that item not delivering on time, depending on when you first purchased the label)

To 'void' the label and get a refund, go to that order and click 'print another label'- next page at top it will say 'you already bought label etc.'- click the blue underlined 'see shipping area'; you can void there. Takes about 3 weeks to get refund (can only be voided within certain amount of time after first purchasing)

USPS label has to have the "request to void" done within 5 days (120 hours) of purchase

If it's been longer then 5 days, you can't void the label.

To void the label, go to your shipping label page and click Void in the menu next to the label.

You need to go to the order and update the tracking number.

Hey @djvp53. It's not possible to remove the eBay-generated tracking number from the transaction.

The tracking number that has activity should override the one with no activity and a delivered status should appear when one of the tracking numbers shows delivery - it's always worked that way for me.

To void a USPS shipping label purchased through eBay, go to this page, find the order and select Void from the Actions drop-down. The reprint option is available for 24 hours, the void option is available for 5 days.

eBay Standard Envelope labels are non-refundable and cannot be voided.

eBay International Standard Delivery labels, UPS labels and FedEx labels are not charged to your account until they are used, so there is no void option.

Sorry about that.

Tip: pirateship (and most PC postage vendors) give you the full 28 days USPS allows to void. It's only eBay that restricts the window to 5 days.

Things have changed a little in the last 2 years @bongaloe .

To reprint a label purchased through eBay (or download a copy of a QR code through the reprint function), go to this page, find the order and select Reprint from the Actions drop-down. The reprint option is available for 7 days.

To void a shipping label purchased through eBay, go to this page, find the order and select Cancel from the Actions drop-down. The cancel option is available for 28 days.

It takes between 2-4 weeks to receive a refund on an unused, voided label as the carrier wants to make sure the label isn't used. You'll see the refund on your original source of payment (eBay funds, bank, credit card, etc) and the funds will appear in your account without an email notification.

Printed eBay Standard Envelope labels are non-refundable and cannot be voided.
