Cancelling shipping labels is pointless.

If you make an error in a shipping label dont cancel it or you will have to wait 14 to 21 days for a refund. Instead call ebay and they will get you a refund right away.  Why even have an option to cancel if you cant get your cash back for weeks. Just call ebay and get them to get you a refund right away. Just another dumb thing ebay does to sellers. I would be collecting interest on the money if it was back in my bank instead its held for ransom.

It takes up to 20 days for the refund because the shipping service is the one who refunds, so they want to be sure you haven't used the labels so the refund can be issued.

Ebay isn't the one that refunds shipping labels, it's the carriers.

They want to make sure you don't void the shipping label, then try to use it.

Actually, as mentioned above, it is not eBay but the carrier.

I use Pirateship and if I cancel a label BEFORE I print it I get a refund immediately.

I guess the lesson to be learned is to pay better attention to what you are doing. In carpentry we have an expression "Measure twice, cut once". Maybe a bit more care will reduce the number of errors?
