What exactly does "Cancellation for this order is pending" mean? It seems that the order is in limbo. I haven't gotten a refund on it, but it doesn't look like I'm going to get the item either. It's only $1, but it's bugging me, that nothing is happning with it. I contacted the seller about it a couple of days, but they are not getting back to me.
I also get a link asking me to confirm that I have received a refund. But the link doesn't seem to work. Maybe becase I haven't gotten any refund yet.
BTW I supect the reason the seller is trying to cancel the order, is becase the item they sold is about a $4 or $5 item and they sold it for $1 with free shipping. They probably just relized that they weren't going to make a lot of profit on it. But still I looked at the seller's feedback, and they have a lot of positive feed backs on items that they sold in the $1 price range. So I'm confished what is going on with it. Right now I'm just trying to hold back out the urge to give the seller negative feedback, until I figure out what is going on with it.
So does anyone know what I should expect? After Googleing the issue I found some information that the order will atomatically cancel after 10 days if nothing is done. Does that mean that I will get a refund after 10 days? This is very confusing. Anyway thanks in advance for any infomation on this situation.

I am guessing that the seller initiated the cancellation ... or, put another way, you do not want to cancel the transaction, correct?
When a seller wants to cancel a transaction, there are three options: cancel at buyer's request, cancel due to out of stock, cancel due to problem with address.
Did you receive a message about the transaction? Did it ask you to agree to the cancellation? I'm wondering if the seller selected "cancel at buyer's request", and now the system is waiting on you to verify that this is correct ...

The item is in my Puchase History under Returns and Canceled

Update: The seller is insiting that he went though the correct prcedure to give me a refund. But I'm still seeing no credit for it. I'm not even sure what the next step should be. There dosen't seem to be any options for: "I didn't receive the refund." I'm not sure what I'm suposed to do now. I guess just wait.

How did you pay for it? Unless you paid with funds that were in your PP account, it takes a few days for the refund to show up on a cc or bank account.A refund always goes back to the original funding source.

I paid with an eBay Gift Card. Normally refunds show up on the Gift Card ballence imediatly. Regardless, it has been a few days anyway. I really don't the refund went through, but I'll give it more time anyway. If that will get it sorted out.

Update: I finally got the refund after a whole week. Yesterday I got this message from eBay
"We're sorry to let you know that canceled your order.
We want to make sure you receive your refund back on your original payment method. When you receive your refund, go to your cancel details page to let us know."
Today I got this message, and my gift card was finally credited.
"We are sorry to let you know that cancelled your order and mentioned the cancelled reason as I'm out of stock or the item is damaged
The seller refunded back to your original payment method, and you don't need to do anything else.'

I'm having this problem also, should I just wait a few days and see if it works out?
