Can't mark an item as shipped after printing shipping label

Hi there eBay community members. This is very puzzling to me, and somewhat counter intuitive. For my sold items for which I HAVEN'T yet printed a shipping label I am given the option (under "More Actions") to either Mark as Shipped and/or Add Tracking Number. But for items for which I HAVE printed a label I do not see these two options. So how do I mark these latter items as shipped and/or add a tracking number? Thanks very much.  --Bettie Neil F.

When you purchase a label through eBay, it's supposed to automatically put the tracking number in the transaction. If you. don't print through eBay, then you need the option to add the tracking information (or just mark it as shipped, if you shipped without tracking).

Once you print the label through eBay, the system automatically updates the status to "shipped" and updates the tracking number to the order.

The option to"mark shipped" and update tracking  is there for those who don't print labels through eBay or who ship without tracking.

Printing your labels through Paypal will also auto-update the Ebay side.
