Can't find returning shipment tracking

Hello,

the "consolidation centre" or probably customs decided that my package contains dangerous goods, as well as to return it to the seller after it just didn't move for a week or so at the international shipping hub. The only update in the tracking was:

Your shipment is being returned due to issues encountered.

Consolidation Center, United States

Nothing ever since. Will there be some shipping updates available on the way back to the seller? I assumed it maybe wasn't on it's way because of the pre holiday shipping craze but I'm also kinda afraid it will be lost or we don't know when it will be back. The USPS tracking ended at Glendale Heights, IL. Do I need to contact USPS or EBay?

Thank you!

Re: Can't find returning shipment tracking

A day after the estimated delivery date Ebay gave you, open an Item Not Received case.
Go to your purchase history and click I didn't get it in the menu next to the item.
The seller will have 3 days to provide a tracking number showing it was delivered or refund.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

Have a great day.

Re: Can't find returning shipment tracking

Glendale heights is the ebay international shipping hub. If the item can't be sent to you, you will receive a refund from ebay either automatically or by filing an INR claim as above. The seller will keep the funds from the sale and it's my understanding that ebay will keep the item to dispose of or resell with other such returns.

Re: Can't find returning shipment tracking

The message said it will be sent back however, so I hope that really is the case! Still no tracking number though.

Imo eBay has no right to dispose an antique piece just because they do not use common sense and deem it dangerous goods. Like don't get me wrong, it's ok if shipping is not possible then, but they have to return the item then or give the possibility to pick it up/ship it back. Anything else opens up a whole new room for shady business... like... oh interesting package, hey, let's label that dangerous goods and then resell it. Yeah, I really hope not!
