Can A Seller Change the Original Delivery Date on an Item?

I ordered a new litter box for my cat and the original delivery date is for Wednesday of this week, however, the item has not been shipped insofar as I am aware.  I am getting a bit annoyed since the handling time has been removed and I ended up having to purchase the items from Amazon - with the item not even sent, can the Seller or eBay change the original delivery.

After this item, I think that I will start to use Amazon, at least I get what I originally ordered and for the few items that I recently purchased from Amazon, they arrived on time.

TIA - I will check back soon!

They're probably going to place the order on Amazon and have it delivered to you the next day. 😬

Re: Can A Seller Change the Original Delivery Date on an Item?

ebay plays games with delivery dates.handling time is not really taken into account with ebay, when  the item is shipped ebay can set a new date.

did you ask your buyer if it was shipped, wednesday is still 3 days away

does the lack of tracking have you so upset that you blew the seller off.

did someone twist your arm to buy another or is it the lack of tracking

I am not sure - their response was coherent w/o the 'Dear Friend' routine.  I really wish that eBay did not remove the handling time because depending on what I needed would determine whom I purchased from.

Re: Can A Seller Change the Original Delivery Date on an Item?

I am the buyer and I do not think it will be here by Wednesday because it is not marked as 'shipped.'  The only way would be if they were next door to me, then I could possibly receive it by Wednesday.  I do not know the carrier, where it is located as the listing stated 'multiple locations, and even if there was a location in NJ - with USPS - nope.

That is what I was thinking.  I should have had my son order it with his Prime account.

Re: Can A Seller Change the Original Delivery Date on an Item?

It is the lack of tracking (I am the buyer) - had two items gone wrong and I do not want to experience that again - I will just start using Amazon.

If the information is there for me to read then I have a choice to buy or not to buy - I go by what is listed.

Yep, it sure is - via Bluecare Express.  I had another item sent that way.

Re: Can A Seller Change the Original Delivery Date on an Item?

Just remember not all sellers upload the info into tracking, a silly practice, but they are not required to so long as they can produce it if there is an issue.

I prefer to upload so my buyer is able to check for themselves and cuts out the need to contact me unless there is a real issue with delays
