Truth is truth. There is no acceptable excuse for dishonesty. Equally inexcusable is a site rule that encourages liars and penalizes sellers.
When a buyer requests the return of an item that was listed no return and lies about it being other than described in order to have Ebay impose a return (even opening the request details in the email is automatic acceptance) sellers are treated punitively.
Give the money back? Sure. No problem. Give it back because if the jerk has already lied to ebay just imagine what they would do in feedback. Yeah; refund and then make yourself and your items invisible to them. What sticks in my craw is that the seller has to pay postage to have their property returned by a dishonest individual who essentially blackmails them with complicity by eBay .
