A buyer wants to cancel an order after paying and I’ve already printed a shipping label. It’s past the one hour end of auction. He claims that he’s tried unsuccessfully to cancel but I’m not sure where he’s trying. I’m fine with him canceling but I don’t want to be the one to cancel and have it affect my seller rating. How do I proceed?

Im not sure why buyers think the 1 hours is set in stone.
I have seen where eBay says "up to 1 hour they can request" - but hte seller does not have to respond to the request or to cancel.
That said - now with PayPal fees not being refunded and the seller paying fees on "tax"....
It is up to you.
Cancel the shipping label and refund with Seller Request.
Then add to your "special" buyer list.

So no matter what, I will be paying PayPal fees? The item sold for over $600 so I will be responsible for the fees through PayPal even if the transaction is canceled on eBay?

The alternative is you go ahead and ship it to someone who as already said they don't want it. So they file a false return claim and now you are on the hook for both the outgoing and return postage. And you will still have to pay the Paypal fees.
Sometimes you just have to accept the lesser of 2 evils. Life sucks.

I went ahead and canceled it and submitted for a canceled shipping label. I have requested for the buyer to reimburse me for the PayPal fees but I am not holding my breath that I will ever hear back from him. Oh well.
