Buyer wanting to return

Hi

Buyer bought a used clothing,

she says the sleeves are dirty and because I didn't describe it she wishes to return it.

I have no return policy. Item was not damaged.

Ebay policy is if the item is damaged or not as described.

My description was it was used item and made no remark on condition (whether it was good or ok or excellent etc).

Sleeves are visible on the photo.

Who has the right, who picks up the postage?

Thanks for your help

Buyer wanting to return

You are responsible always if the buyer opens a not as described return.

You are also responsible to accurately describe the condition of your items and not solely rely on photos. When you don’t optimize your photos and/or descriptions you can end up with disappointed buyers and a financial loss.

It doesn't matter who is right, you have to pay for the return unless the buyer chose a remorse reason.

Dirty is not as described.

You should always wash clothing, as per eBay policy, before listing and shipping

Buyer wanting to return

There are two very important bits of advice you got in this thread based upon your question and statements

1) No return does not exist on eBay. If the buyer wants to return it, under eBays money back guarantee you will take it back and that is why #2 is so important
2) It is your responsibility as the seller of an item to provide adequate pictures that show as many issues with the item as possible, it is your responsibility to then describe issues with the item is the condition description box, and it is your responsibility to include those item conditions in the actual description.

If you do #2, you will not have nearly as many issues with #1. If you don't do item #2, what you will find is a lot more issues under #1. Eventually that can lead to a suspension and eventual permanent end to your ability to sell on eBay.

Make buying easy for your customer but accurately describing your items.

Take care

Leaving out something that is wrong with an item doesn’t make it as described.  If problems aren’t mentioned a reasonable person figures there are not issues.  You didn’t mention dingy/dirty sleeves so the buyer had reason to believe they were not dirty.  You need to take the return and pay the return shipping.  Next time if something is wrong with an item mention it

Thanks all for the advice.

It's not that I hide the fact but just didn't notice it.

Oh well, lesson learnt.

OP, it sounds like you are trying to create a loophole for yourself. You think because you did not say what kind of condition the item was in, whether it be good, OK, or excellent, that you can use that to get around having to pay the buyer's return shipping in certain cases.

What precisely do you mean by that?  If a seller has a "No Return" policy they do not have to accept a remorse return nor are they required to refund the buyer in such cases.  However, in the case return request for the Not As Described reason, the sellers no return policy is meaningless and the seller is required to pay the return shipping and refund upon receiving the item back.

Actually, I don't believe this is entirely accurate.  Sellers can have a No Return policy on eBay but that policy can only be applied to remorse returns.  Not as described returns fall under the MBG.
