I offer priority shipping and provide the size of the item. Buyers select priority envelope even though the item measurements show it can not fit into a priority envelope. How do I offer priority shipping while preventing the buyer from selecting a package size that is too small for the item?

eBay has decided to phase out access to Parcel Select Ground labels, even though USPS has made no changes in their services or policies, and it's offered by all other online postage sellers including PayPal, endicia, stamps.com, etc. As noted in the other post, when it's not offered, the shipping label page usually defaults to the first option on the list which is flat rate envelope. You can purchase Parcel Select Ground postage through PayPal at
www.PayPal.com/shipnow
But do compare prices before you do that. For Zones 1 - 4, the USPS online price for Priority Mail is less than a dollar more than Parcel Select Ground. If you're a TRS you get a 3% discount when purchasing Priority labels through eBay, which often makes it cheaper than Parcel Select. For instance, the graduation gown is showing a cost of $8.59 to ship to me via Parcel Select, but the online price for Priority would be $9.09 (or about $8.82 for a TRS). The listing shows the retail price for Priority, which exaggerates the price difference.
IMHO Parcel Select ground should only be offered when necessary such as for hazmat or Oversize packages (i.e., length-plus-girth above the Priority limit of 108 inches).

The buyer can only choose from the options you include in the listing.
If the buyer selects Parcel Select Ground, it is not available to purchase on Ebay, so it'll default to another option when you go to buy a label.

Then you get the same answer, the one that was selected as the solution to the original post. It happened because your listing offered Parcel Select Ground shipping.
