Hi last month I sold an item which buyer wanted to return, she has proof of return but didn’t send via recorded post just regular Royal Mail 2nd class postage, she has opened a dispute surely I’m not liable for the refund since I don’t have the goods? Can anyone help please

Here on eBay USA, the buyer needs proof of delivery, not just proof of shipping. The standard is the same as for sellers when they ship an item.

Does the returned package have a tracking number?

As someone who also says read the DMM --
and then can't read a post --
I want to ask: What's a reordered delivery?
What was wrong with the deliveries the first 2 times?

Apparently an unrecorded post means there is no tracking according to what this seller is stating.
It seems she has proof of returning it but no proof of the actual delivery.

In a case like this, eBay might end up just paying her out of their own pocket to make her happy and not to penalize you since you did not get your item back.
