We sold a vintage doll to a buyer over a month ago. When they receive the item the immediately contacted us and said it was the wrong doll they bought. We had 2 very similar dolls and sent the wrong one by mistake. We apologized and immediately sent out the correct doll. The incorrect doll was in our store for $139.99. The doll they bought was $50. The buyer said they would send The incorrect ($139.99) doll back to us and we told the buyer would reimburse them for shipping. They received the correct doll from us but they have never sent back the incorrect doll. We have made several attempts to contact them and they will not answer. What can we do at this point?

emmytogs - you did it the right way! I always send out the correct item immediately if I find out I shipped the wrong thing. I include a return label for sending back the wrong item, and ask them to pack it in the same box I sent the replacement item in (I make sure it is large enough for the item), add the label and hand it to their mail carrier. 99 out of 100 will do it, sooner or later. Once in a blue moon I get one like yours that never sends it back. You just have to eat the occasional loss.

Send a letter by snail mail in an odd, older envelope and written on some kind of old parchment type paper. Explain that the other doll is cursed and may come to life and do odd things if not returned 'home' promptly. Word it carefully and refence 'Talky Tina' (Twilight Zone) and the Canadian store of cursed oddities "Curious Goods' (Friday the 13th; The Series).
