I'm just wondering if any sellers have customer orders from late November that have not been delivered yet through USPS. I currently have around 50 orders that dropped off the tracking radar around December 4th. I called the Post Office but hung up after being on hold for 90 minutes. Starting to get a little worried.

@onelifeathletics I had one priority package that dropped off the radar and I filed a lost package report online. It was shipped on the 27th, due the 3rd and had no tracking movement after the 30th.
I had messaged the buyer and let them know I was looking into it. They never responded.
I finally got feedback from the buyer... thanking me for fast shipping. LOL
It was delivered sometime in there but it never received a delivery scan.
Another priority from Tucson to Floriday did take 12 business days.
MANY sellers are experiencing the same shipping issues.

@onelifeathletics For some reason, all of the packages I shipped on 11/30 took forever to get to their destination, with large gaps between first scan and the next one, then suddenly lots of scans. They've taken about two weeks, but the last one finally hit home. Everyone was cool with it, with just one polite enquiry. Usually the USPS in my area is ruthlessly efficient, so this was unusual.
I put tracking alerts on all of them so I could keep track.

Welcome to COVID-2020!!
2-4 weeks is not uncommon for USPS to deliver now.
I shipped a package to a customer who lives only 100 mile away. After shipping a replacement package on day 20, the original package arrived on day 21. Now I am loosing $$ on that sale since I have replaced the complete order at no charge to customer and purchased a new postage label without any additional $$ coming in.
Many packages from NC to MI, TN, or LA take 3-4 weeks. Puerto Rico usually takes 3 days!!
They zig-zag across country many times or just sit for days (or weeks). Scans are skipped. Scans are a joke!!
My question is this: If the USPS is short handed for help, why don't they use these mystery people who drive 5,000 miles to deliver a package which should only go 100 miles ??

It doesn't really work that way, though - everything is pre-packed into containers, loaded onto cargo planes and freighted to various hubs, and everything, particularly now, is subject to space availability because it's cheaper to load a container into a bit of spare space and send it where everything else is going, then re-route it to the next stop on a full plane, then hold it back or have it be one of only two containers on a whole cargo plane. Normally we don't see that odd routing because the cargo runs smoothly, but with the pandemic and everything else, loads are having to go when they go, then be re-routed. Cheaper and more fuel savings, although it looks weird and takes longer. All the last mile stuff is after final delivery to the various hubs.
ETA: I had a very interesting discussion with a friend in the shipping/delivery business. Right now the logistics are really bonkers, and with resources being held now for vaccine delivery plus Christmas, it's bonkers squared.

My packages, especially those mailed from 11/30/2020 thru 12/4/2020 are everywhere. I am in Pennsylvania, one sent to Ohio and one to Indiana are both in Tampa, Florida and one going to California is in Flushing, NY. I sent one to an address 30 miles from me and ironically it is in the same town as the distribution center for Philadelphia. It was sent to JFK International Airport in New York which is the hub to send overseas. I filed a find my package (different from a lost package) and their response was "we see it has not been delivered, that is frustrating, give a few more days" and they closed the inquiry. Since packages are not being scanned I really have no way to know if the buyer actually got their package. I communicate with the buyers and so far they have been decent about it but I can see me refunding very soon. Good luck to everyone experiencing the same issues.

I have a package mailed on Nov.28 Det. to Indy Est. Del. date Dec. 4, that just made it to the annex in Indianapolis last night.
I had to open 3 service requests and received a call from the postmaster if the Indy center Monday, where she admitted the facility was running 5 days behind processing packages. In a local news story that only ran once, an employee of the Main Detroit hub last week said they were running 8 days behind.
Of three packages mailed on Nov. 27-28 one was delivered to Nevada on the 10th, one to Mo. on the 13th, and finally the one that came back on the radar last evening. All oversize packages will be processed slower than ones that go through sorting machines.

Very frustrating, USPS is suppose to sort first in - first out. This is NOT what is happening because they are so backed up. Plus, this year they have charged a surcharge for shipping over the Holiday Season and have epic failed on the on time deliveries. All we can do is communicate with our buyers.
God Bless

But I don't!!
Anyway - thanks for your view on the subject.
Merry Christmas.

Shipped a couple dozen packages, via USPS, December 3rd. A dozen of them still in Memphis TN, it is like a black hole in space. The incompetence level is high, add that no one with USPS at that facility really cares, after all they all get paid regardless of performance. The only person that you have to complain too is your local postmaster, which is the only one that has done there job. Has anyone ever received a refund for postage, even when the postal service fails completely? What a great business model; pay up front, service afterwards, if service not provided, no refund. The post office is ran by our politicians, many years of making profits, when profits are made the money is taken away. Does anyone know which 7 governors are on the board?

You're lucky mine haven't updated scanning. Ebay has decided to refund all customers who have opened cases against me if the tracking hasn't updated. I guess my 60,000 sales with Ebay and Top Rated Seller Status means nothing. I will literally have to refund thousands of dollars to customers who will ultimately end up getting the package. I'm done with Ebay. I have a bunch of inventory that I will sell off and move on to greener pastures. Ebay cares nothing about sellers. THere's an obvious problem with shipping right now and their solution is to screw me and every other seller with the same problem.

It's not a theory, it's how the logistics works, from someone actually in the business. But yeah, Merry Christmas and hopefully next year will bring relief for all of us.

OP, yes just had a late November package delivered today. Was totally off the radar for three weeks and had an active INR claim filed that fortunately hadn't been force refunded by eBay.

Ham,
I am in the same boat for the same time period.
They show a scan when I mailed them at the local post office but nothing after that.
It is occurring on Priority Mail and and regular packages.
I hope it gets moving soon or I may have to get a third full time job to cover the losses.
