Hi, I have recently sold my mobile phone which was in great working order. It was extremely well packaged and sent special delivery through Royal Mail. The buyer has said the phone is damaged and is rattling and requested a return / refund.
mob looking at the buyers profile it’s clear he buys and sell phones / parts so my guess is that he has taken a. Good working part from my phone and replaced it with a broken one.
under ebays return policy I have to offer a full refund? This seems unfair and surely many people could operate like this to make themselves a nice profit! Any advice is welcome as I feel like I’ve been had! Thanks

It sucks, but if the buyer files an INAD and you want the phone back before refunding, you need to accept the return and pay return shipping.

@blueron69 Just adding that if you don't accept the return then ebay will force one. You will receive a DEFECT and the buyer may be allowed to keep the item. You will not get your sellers fees back if ebay forces a refund.

You can report the buyer. If ebay receives enough reports, they will remove the buyer from the protection plan. However, by then, they have cost a lot of sellers a lot of money.
