Buyer cannot buy my item because it tells her I don't' ship to Ohio

A buyer wants to make a purchase from me. When she clicks buy now a message pops ups saying I don't ship to Ohio. I doubled checked my listing and I see no issues with my shipping. I'm actually sending out 6 packages today throughout the US. Does anyone have a solution for me?

I can't answer your immediate question, but can see what might be a duplicate listing. Do you have two of the pineapple Fairy lamps?

@michellefrompennsylvania

update the values and relist the item.

Usually it's either an issue with the buyers payment method. There is no way for any seller to block any of the lower 48 States.

best wishes

If it's the beach chair, there's no shipping set for it.

Have a great day.

Could be the seller didn't set up the shipping for that item.

Have a great day.

Yes, it’s the chair and shipping is locked, won’t allow me to revise it at the moment. Here’s a pic of it, I do have shipping and pricing available.

@michellefrompennsylvania,

That chair is too large to ship by Ground Advantage. The maximum length+girth is 130 inches. Your chair is:

 45 + ( 43 + 8 ) × 2 = 147 inches.

[Edited to correct the calculation. I realized I did it wrong while @wastingtime101 was posting, LOL.]

So your listing doesn't show a price for shipping. If there's an offer on the listing, you won't be able to revise it until the offer has ended. Whether you revise it or relist it, you will need to offer a different shipping service that is eligible for something that large.

That's an incorrect calculation. Length is always the longest side.

Length + Girth =  45 + (2*(43 + 8)) = 147

Your post is entirely correct that the package exceeds USPS dimension limits and it's the cause of the OP's problem. Just wanted to adjust that calculation for the accurate numbers.

Keep in mind @michellefrompennsylvania if you switch to a service like UPS or FedEx it is not going to show you the final cost upfront. You will have surcharges tacked on after you ship due to the size of the package.

For example, here are a few of the UPS charges that would be added after the fact:

• Length plus girth: Any package with its length (longest side of the package)
plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeding 105 inches.
• Length: Any package with the longest side exceeding 48 inches.
• Width: Any package with its second-longest side exceeding 30 inches.

You'd be hit on L+G and on W with your package dimensions which could be in the $40-60 neighborhood.

You'd also get hit with a large package surcharge.

• For domestic shipments, a package is considered a “Large Package” when its length (longest side
of the package) plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeds 130 inches or its length
exceeds 96 inches

And that one could be a few hundred bucks.

In conclusion, I do not recommend shipping this beach chair @michellefrompennsylvania and instead do local pickup only.
