Buyer asked for return, i agreed, never printed shipping label....

Hello everyone. 

 Buyer asked for a return because item did not fit him, he did NOT file a case for INAD, because I had all the measurements in the listing, etc. Anyway, I agreed to the return, ebay sent him the info to print out a shipping label and return the item back to me for refund. (there was no option for me to pay for the shipping label, he had to pay it)

Now Ebay is sending me notifications that I need to refund by 11/17 if I received the item back or contact buyer. I contacted buyer asking if he indeed shipped the item. He replied that he was unable to print the shipping label. Nothing more....so i guess he is not interested in returning the item after all. What happens on 11/17 , the deadline? 

On the status thing it says that he has yet to print the label, so ebay is aware of that i assume. Will the case close and the funds be released to me? They are being held in Paypal now. 

Thank you in advance, ive been googling and reading through the message boards, but couldnt find the answer to this particular scenario.

always have buyer request returns/refunds through ebay's return program. If they select the proper reason then either you or the buyer will pay for return shipping. I never accept INAD as a legitimate reason for return. If the item is damaged in shipping or doesn't work on arrival I have no problem taking it back and paying return shipping. I do everything I can to take lots of photos and be honest in my description so when a buyer request a return with INAD it means either they are ignorant of what INAD means or trying to get a free return for something they changed their mind on. In these cases I block this buyer from doing any further business with me.
