I insured my item so I'm not out any money, but looking at the address after an item was lost in USPS, the address listed was residential (including Apartment Numbers) but the actual location is a business. There is no way to report this via eBay.

This does not concern eBay: As long as that's a real address, deliverable, it's not a false address; only a crazy person @crazyperson4200 would say otherwise.

Apt number could be a business suite number? I work in #205 in a business office building. Lost is lost though, so if USPS does not show delivered to an address, business or residential would have no bearing on that outcome.

There are a lot of people who have their packages shipped to a business address. It prevents loss by porch pirates when not at home. You should google addresses before you ship especially items like yours. It could be the address of a freight forwarder, but as long as it was shipped to the address listed on the PayPal transaction it doesn't matter as USPS will have to pay the insurance claim.

Because FedEx is so bad in my area I have all of the packages that state FedEx delivery shipped to my work address which happens to be the Post Office where I carry mail. My grown daughters also use my work address for anything arriving FedEx. LOL it caused quite a stir when both myself and oldest daughter ordered cases of wine from nakedwines.com and they arrived the same day. I think half of the office now subscribes.

About the only issue I can identify with having your purchases delivered to your workplace or business address is that a lot of businesses are open, for instance, only 9-5, Mon-Fri. If the package arrives later or on a Saturday, does it sit outside for the weekend, available to anyone who makes the effort to retrieve it?

Generally no; they just attempt redelivery on the next business day.
(None of this makes the address "false" in any way.)

Even though I have requested delivery after 4:30 FedEx never complies. Door tags usually stated 12:00 to 1:00, so I'd be at work anyway. My oldest runs a small bar and grill at a lake and weekdays is open 4 to 9, weekends 11 to 9 this time of year (they expand hours during boating season ) and her prep time is usually a couple hours before opening. My youngest works the paint counter at Lowe's and her schedule is all over the place. We all know about when our mail carrier will deliver but no way to tell FedEx or UPS in a rural area.

There is nothing to report to eBay, but what is the last scan you see in the package tracking history (check it on usps.com, not eBay), and when did that occur?
