What should I do if the buyer request a different shipper. They ask me for quotes from UPS and FEDX and I was getting ready to send them the quotes and before I could they purchased and paid for the item which is listed to ship via USPS ( It was about a 15 minute interval).
They are now requesting that I ship Fedx or UPS. Does this not cover me as a seller? What are my options?
I was doing USPS Ground because it was cheaper but they are saying they will pay the difference.

If the seller hasn’t sent your package yet, you can ask them if it’s possible to change the shipping method. If they agree, you may need to pay extra for an express or tracked option.
If the seller isn’t willing to change the shipping method, you can ask them to cancel the order using the button above, and buy the item again with the correct shipping method.

BUT what did you show in the listing? What did they actually pay for. Be specific - not just the shipper but also specifically what shipping method was specified.
Need to know that before I can give any other advice.

OK if that is the item in question then you have answered my underlying question which was " are you shipping by the method you specifies and what they paid for. The answer appears to be yes. (If it had been no that would have opened a whole 'nother can of worms)
SO moving on
WHY do they want to change it to UPS and/or FedEx? Is it that they think it will get there sooner or does he abhor the USPS? (Some people do). You are showing a 5 day handling time before you ship. Can you cut that time to narrow the difference in shipping times?
How much difference is there between parcel select and UPS and FedEx? Is the difference so great that it is a stumbling block?
Otherwise the choice is you will have to bill them for the difference through Paypal. And lose some time in the process. Or cancel the sale and relist it with UPS and FedEx as options. Which loses even more time. Of course the risk there is that buyer may not re-buy it.
Which brings us back to how much of a difference us there as an offset to the risk of losing the sale?
Or, finally, apologize profusely and tell them it can not be done.
