Hi all...
buying anything overseas take longer now days because of pandemic.
Anyone had this problem?
I bought an item from India well over month a go and tracking says it went to Vietnam and item is moving around in Vietnam....it says estimated delivery date from Vietnam to US is 22 to 30 days...it supose to be DHL e-commerce.
so this means I won’t see item for 2 month.
this is ridiculous.
ebay is allowing 2 to 3 month to ship and return now too.
just getting worse and worse.
i think time to move on from ebay to another online site...and it is not sellers fault but postal service but it’s annoying.
and ebay rules, and fees and service are getting worse and worse.
Frustrating.

As of last week India was not able to ship out per the USPS website. https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm
Due to Operator Service Suspension. I don't see that now. The link I sent should tell you more.

I am a seller, and I am aware of no allowance for increased handling time due to Covid-19. I could be wrong, but I cannot fathom that I suddenly have 2-3 months to ship an item. That is inconceivable to me.
What I am aware of is that due to Covid-19, penalties for missing my (standard) handling (shipping) time are or may be lifted. However, I do not think this means I can not ship something for 90 days and not be penalized.
On the other hand, you are correct that buyers do have more time to return items. Depending on how the "days" fall (business vs. non-business days), I have had returns close out due to lack of return at 50+ days.
