Blocking a buyer from sending me emails via ebay

Hi,  Is there any way to block a buyer from constantly emailing me via ebay messages,  17 times so far.. since yesterday. she wants to return something she bought from me and there is no basis for it, I realize she has some issues mentally but I am tired of her constant senseless emails, I' ve called ebay but they say I have to wait until April 7th to escalate the case and get it resolved. Thanks in advance. L

Buyers do not have to have any specific BASIS for a return. Respond to them promptly and allow the return.

Just accept the return, eBay will do it for you and keep your fvf and give you a defect

Re: Blocking a buyer from sending me emails via ebay

I am unsure why you want to get ebay involved in a return

the fastest way to end this is to just say yes to the return while you still have a chance to do so

MP has a new policy since the fall seller update..........its called autoaccept

if they strart using that policy there will be no more saying NO to a return

its almost like that now

Re: Blocking a buyer from sending me emails via ebay

Yes, it's irrelevant that the buyer has issues.   In fact this could be to your favor, as they may never return the item once they find they have to pay to do it.

As to blocking their messages, you can't.  I went through this over a couple years with this (censored) who would send messages every so often.  Even blocking their ability to bid, which is supposed to block them from sending messages, did not help.

NO basis needed for returning with buyers on eBay.  Just accept the return, and have the buyer return or keep the item. eBay will refund the buyer 100% either way. Remember, eBay is ANTI seller, and PRO buyer.

Re: Blocking a buyer from sending me emails via ebay

We actually need a little bit more information before advising you. Did the buyer open a NAD return request or are they just messaging you asking for a return?

First of all, I don't believe you can block messages from someone with whom you are actively in a transaction. You can block them from purchasing any future items with that buying ID, but all they have to do is continue to respond to existing messages to get through to you.

If they are nonsensical messages, just ignore them. I know the temptation can be great to respond to the crazy, but it'll get you nowhere. Since you've got returns not accepted on a bunch of your items, the buyer may be looking for an exception to this. I'm not quite following your logic on the listings with this account - some have returns accepted,  some have no returns accepted and there seems to be no pattern for what does and does not offer returns.

If the buyer has opened a SNAD return, you've got no choice but to accept the return. eBay doesn't care if the buyer is lying. Checking the "Not As Described" box trumps everything else, and eBay has not and never will require a buyer to prove that it is NAD. If you follow the **bleep**-poor CS advice to wait and open a case, you'll be rewarded with the buyer getting a full refund at your expense, not get the item back, and a "Closed Without Seller Resolution" ding.

If this is an item that did offer returns (check that listing specifically), then just keep telling the buyer to open a return request. If they continue to message, just rinse and repeat.
