Best approach to being shorted parts in multiple unit orders

Over the past two days I have received two orders from different sellers involving multiple parts where I was shorted quantity. One seller is Chinese based another is American.

Yesterday the Chinese based seller shorted me 3 parts (worth about $45, received 22/25 parts) . What is the fastest way to get my parts (prefered) or a refund (less prefered)?

Then today a USA based seller shorted me 30 parts worth about $70. 210/240.

This is pretty annoying. If I am paying hundreds of dollars for an order I should receive the quantity I pay for...or at least a message advising me that they were out of stock.

It seems that some sellers are either too careless to count their parts or are deliberately shorting buyers, maybe becase they hope they won't count the parts on receiving.

How about contacting your sellers and explaining the problem?

I would say the best approach would be to contact your sellers and explain the problem.

Unless you simply want to return for a refund.

As every other poster with perfect 20/20 hindsight, and not reading the OP --

I would've created a full-color multimedia presentation to show the seller --

File a SNAD , seller may offer a partial refund or want you to do a return.

If you do a return you need to receive a prepaid return label.
