I recently bought these shoes and it was authenticated but the right shoe was the wrong size. The authenticator failed to inspect both shoes and they didn't see that the right shoe was a different size. I opened a case with ebay's help to only get it closed as they said it was final sale and ebay money back doesn't cover inaccurate listing in the sense of Authenticity Guarantee service. Can I dispute saying the authenticators missed something in their inspection?

@khangarooo. Glad you got your refund. Thanks for letting me know. Can you tell me how you were able to contact the grading company? Is their contact information in the box? Just trying to "file "away info for future reference.

Yeah, this doesn't sound like a rousing endorsement of the Authentication Program!
Hope we get the details so we can understand whether to use this program as a buyer or how to navigate the eBay system should we experience a problem. Hope y'all will tag me with any additional information! Thanks!

address info for the authenticator is on the box.you can also probably find out more on a sneaker forum or just by googling the address
I ship to the watch authenticators in OH and they have a great reputation with the watch community.
I read all about the authenticators on a watch forum and how good they were before I was even in MP

I just got completely screwed by a seller and by eBay Authentication.
I purchased a pair of Jordan V Low Black Grape golf shoes in an auction. These are black shoes with the purple and teal colorway, released in August 2020. The eBay auction was titled this way, pictured this way. A month goes by, shoes go to authentication, then I receive them.
I open the box and find a pair of Jordan V Low Metallic golf shoes with the eBay authentication tag. Black shoes with the traditional silver and red colorway, released in December 2020.
The shoes in the box are for sure authentic, but completely the wrong color, wrong name, wrong release. All the important details for a collector like myself. You would think that these are important details for authenticating them.
I try to notify the seller, but you cannot contact the sellers because of the authentication guarantee.
I file a complaint with eBay and explain the situation, request a refund. I am rejected.
I file an appeal with eBay authentication, providing clear and detailed photographs and explanations. Again, rejected without explanation.
So here eBay authenticates a completely different release and colorway of a shoe as something else, but won't accept responsibility. I just can't comprehend this. Is it just because it's authentic, I have to accept it - despite it being completely wrong? What if I bought Nike shoes and was sent Adidas, if the Adidas were authentic then that's what I get? Just absolutely frustrated that eBay would look at clear and obvious mistakes here and tell me to go pound sand.

Do you have a credit card issuer? They live here with us in the real world, they'll look at your complaint and the photos, and they don't take the nonsense of a fantasyland-final-sale policy under reason code 53 Goods Defective or Not As Described.

Can't open an item not as described return with the seller? They have to take returns under that circumstance.

Same exact thing just happened to me. I escalated the situation on PayPal. I will never deal with eBay again after this. I’ve never had this happen.

Same thing g just happened here. Order Jordan 1s in red and white with the black toe in 9 1/2 and received dunk lows in black and blue 7y... YOUTH SIZE... cant message the seller so I had to back door message him thru another listing. How HOW could the authenticator miss this? Complete wrong shoe complete wrong size... 200 bucks possibly gone if my situation goes the eay most of yours did and I cant even wear this dumb shoes. I dont know where to go from here... how did contacting your credit card company go if you did so?... id say they can just check my account and see i never ordered these shoes and I have pics that have the ebay authentic tag on them but thats an easy mock up... and if I was the seller and I did actually send the right shoes, I'd be real ticked over this... not 1 iota of a care was given by the authenticator... im sure the order is RIGHT INFRONT of them.

You will have to contact customer service about a not as described case. I don't think that you can open yourself on an item that was supposedly authenticated.
I recommend social media.
What do you need help with? We can help with most buying and selling questions.
Or if you would rather talk to customer service here are the two ways to do so:
If you have a North American phone number, you can select the option to have eBay call you.
(If you don't have a +1 phone number, then use the human chat option or social media instead.)
1 . https://www.ebay.com/help/account/contact-ebay/contact-ebay?id=4379&st=12&pos=1&query=Contact%20eBay...
Scroll to the bottom of the screen, click "contact us". Drill down to the topic you need assistance with.
When the chat box pops up if live help is needed click "see more" then click "contact an agent". This bypasses the chatbot and you can either chat with or get a call back from a real person.
If you are using a cell phone turn off the spam filter or it may block the call back
2. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.

i ended up calling ebay and they looked into it and confirmed there was a problem with the authenticator. What happened (i believe) was they sent me someone else's shoes and some else my shoes and must have gotten both reports in..... was able to keep the wrong shoes and got a refund thru ebay while the seller wasnt held responsible because all was done right on his end. Very happy with how this worked out. i Ordered the shoes i wanted again from someone else (original guy was out, i did want to give him the money cus he was so cool) so im hoping nothing goes wrong again.

Ditto here... Bought a pair of Jordan 5 "Green Beans"... shoes were authenticated but when I took the one sneaker out of the box the midsole just crumbled right from just picking it up!!! I mean I didn't even put it on. You could see the cracks in the midsole and the separation. Filed a Not as Described / Defective and they just closed my case like immediately. I then appealed only to get nothing!!
So fine I going through PayPal and if not PayPal then my bank... this **bleep** seller and inept authenticator are not going to get away with my $300. I was able to contact the buyer bypassing the shoe and the buyer replies "Let eBay give you the refund"... He knew the shoes were defective never said a word and the idiots that are the so called authenticators couldn't see these huge cracks in the midsole and separation from the uppers... really!!???? I mean you would have to be be blind to not see that. I literally took the shoe out of the box and it fell apart and crumbled in my hands! And eBay sides with the seller whose been on eBay for 3 years and I've been with eBay over 20+ years!! This is just amazing... How they are giving the dishonest sellers a "Get out of jail card" if the blind authenticators authenticate the shoe but not the condition... I just don't get it!!! Can anyone explain this!? They even removed the negative feedback I left for the seller. I mean the seller is getting the red carpet treatment and I'm getting kicked to then curb. NEVER AGAIN! I'M DONE WITH EBAY. THEY CAN GO F**K THEMSELVES!!!

I ordered a pair of 'New in Box" sneakers and about 30 seconds after the sale I realize they are women's and not men's. I contact the seller and ask them nicely that I made mistake. Could they just cancel the sale... this is exactly 30 seconds after I paid. The seller refuses the cancellation request. That seller says the shoes were already shipped to the authenticator WHAT!!! Are you kidding me.. 30 seconds later.
So I figure fine the seller has the right not to cancel the sale and I figure I'll just turn around and try to sell them but then the shoes go to the authenticators and they authenticate that the shoe are genuine. When I get the shoes the shoe laces are untied and the shoes have obviously been worn and the "New in Box" the seller claimed, well the box was missing the top which I can live with but the box looked like it had gone through a shredder. It wasn't even a box!!! How can authenticator look at the shoe that is sold as NEW WITH BOX and not see the shoes are worn and the box is trashed???? Are they blind??? I mean I'm no expert but anybody can see that shoe is used and the box is torn to shreds. I tried to file an "Item Doesn't Match Desorption" claim only to have them close the case immediately. Stating that the shoes were authenticated and the seller doesn't accept returns... REALLY???? I file an appeal with detailed pictures. I even point out the fact that the seller didn't even take pictures of the actual shoes or box. They used stock photos downloaded off of the internet!! Yeah I know for sure the shoes are genuine but not NEW IN BOX! I filed an appeal and eBay authentications contacts me and says they'll give me a refund of $20 for the box and $5 to clean the shoes and that a return is not possible because the seller doesn't accept returns. What the hell... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I told them that was completely unacceptable and that even cleaning the shoes doesn't make them new!!! So I leave the seller the feedback they deserve and guess what? They remove it!!! Yeah they remove my negative feedback. They give the seller everything on silver platter and me after 20 years nothing but a kick to the head. I'm done with eBay and they can rot in hell as far as I'm concerned and keep in mind... Karma is a **bleep**.
