Authenticity Guarantee Shoe Service

I recently bought these shoes and it was authenticated but the right shoe was the wrong size. The authenticator failed to inspect both shoes and they didn't see that the right shoe was a different size. I opened a case with ebay's help to only get it closed as they said it was final sale and ebay money back doesn't cover inaccurate listing in the sense of Authenticity Guarantee service. Can I dispute saying the authenticators missed something in their inspection?

eBay money back  policy stated, "For Authenticity Guarantee purchases, eBay Money Back Guarantee does not cover returns on the basis that an item is not as described when the item is considered final sale. eBay Authenticity Guarantee items are considered 'final sale' when the seller doesn't offer returns or the return is outside the seller's stated return window, and the item is in new condition". They closed my dispute and is in the seller favor of it being final sale.

@khangarooo   Let me know if you have any success with social media or not.  The agents are more experienced.  Just say you received two different sizes of shoes.

The buyer I helped before was able to appeal even though the seller had a no returns policy.

If they still deny the appeal then reply back here or PM me.  If you reply back here be sure to @ mention me otherwise I sometimes miss notifications.

Re: Authenticity Guarantee Shoe Service

Paid with debit but I did file a claim saying it didn't match the listing but they closed it because it was final sale and the eBay money back doesn't cover items that doesn't match the listing in the sense that I used their authentication service and the seller doesn't accept returns which was why it was final sale.

Re: Authenticity Guarantee Shoe Service

Should have used credit card.  Hmm this does create a problem with authentication:

At the top of the page is a banner: on this banner will flash weekly chat with eBay.

Find the next one and ask your questions there it should be on Wednesday.

I would love to see an answer to this claim of yours.

That is a very good question.  As they don't seem to inspect for quality or condition only that it's a real name brand item.

I would as well but I have been in contact with the support and it seems like its in the favor of the seller.

Re: Authenticity Guarantee Shoe Service

I am disputing their claim with the fact that in their FAQ it stated that the authenticators would check to make sure everything in the shoe matched with the listing. They failed to do so, I hope they would look at that and let me able to appeal.

@khangarooo

I know that for shoes that were damaged in shipping a buyer can file a not as described claim.   I helped another buyer whose shoes were soaking wet on delivery.

I would contact cs on social media Contact customer service by selecting a contact method from the bottom of a help page, chat or call back are available for most topics :
https://www.ebay.com/help/home

Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.

They may take a few days to get back to you if you use social media.

Re: Authenticity Guarantee Shoe Service

So now you have authentic shoes that are mismatched sizes? And you're stuck with them?

Well ain't that just dandy. 😠  I guess you're supposed to be happy that they're not fake mismatched shoes. I guess you're supposed to duct tape your toes to the soles of your feet so you can wear your size mismatched, but guaranteed authentic, shoes.

You didn't use their authentication service, ebay did. Ebay chose the seller to participate.

Despite that, the listing that you bought from also shows the sneakers are covered by ebay's MBG.

The seller's no return policy is meaningless and doesn't apply to item not as described cases.

For the $$$$$ you invested, only to receive two different shoe sizes, I would be all over this.

Not as described case means just that and has nothing to do with the shoes being authentic or not. You are contesting two mismatched shoe sizes, not authentication.

You deserve to have matching shoe sizes.

The other wonder that I have is the sellers description;

"Size 9M / 10.5 WM"

Is that two sizes? a 9 and a 10.5 wide?

Re: Authenticity Guarantee Shoe Service

Re: Authenticity Guarantee Shoe Service

Forgot to come back with an update but here it is. I was successful in getting a refund but I had to appeal my claim with the authenticators themselves and not eBay as they were on the side of the seller. The authenticators admitted that they failed and they had "dropped the ball" and gave me the refund and let me keep the shoes as they seller didn't accept returns so it was a lost for them all around. @comics-scifi-collectibles the social media team said the same thing in they can't do anything but it was worth the attempt.
