Depends on if the item is particularly rare, valuable, has a very high sell through and is in better condition than most examples.

If you don't meet those criteria, auction time and date won't make an appreciable difference.

Re: Auctions

I'm sure there's a specific question behind asking this, but if I'm understanding right, most auctions default to 7 days.  As for time in day, you want it to start sometime during the day where most of your buyers would be around to bid on it without being detained when it ends.  I usually have tried for mid evening or sometime on Saturday.  As for *when* you should do auctions, that's another topic altogether.

But then again, you can't get paid for your auctions because you're in Sri Lanka.

Re: Auctions

I think most buyers expect a 7 day auction period.

Until you have a way to be paid, it's not going to make any difference.

Have a great day.

Re: Auctions

I don't think time is big deal. You can choose anytime to make an auction, but try to choose the specific items to have more bidders. Maybe weekend is a good choice cause it's mostly free time to everyone.

Re: Auctions

Please stop giving incorrect information - you can not run an auction for ANY period of time you choose, eBay gives you the choices.

And as others said the OP is in Sri Lanka so can not legally accept payments.
