Since you are a new seller you should not list any high dollar items.
As I mentioned in one of your other posts, I recommended that you start out selling cheaper items to get experience and learn eBay. Cheaper items will most likely not attract scammers. Selling cheaper items will move quicker and possibly get you more feedback which will also result in getting your selling limits increased.
Hope this helps!

You really want to avoid items that would bring that much no matter if it is allowed or not.
High value items sold by new sellers are a scammer's dream.
Best advice on eBay is never list anything you can't afford to lose. If a $500 loss is no big deal then after you have some sales under your belt then go for it, but for now sell stuff you wouldn't mind donating, little used housewares, books and the like. Making mistakes with $5 items hurts way less than making mistakes with $500 items.

@an-productions I sell a lot with the Auction style listing. The important thing is to make your starting price one that has your profit in it so if one bid wins the auction you make money. More bids and you make more money. As others mention, as a New Seller you should start with lower value items to gain experience and avoid scammers who like cheating New Sellers out of their items.

As a new seller ,we have limit of $500. So can we take starting price in higher one?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but only scammers will bid on $500 items from a zero seller from Sri Lanka.

Excellent point. I too list with auction format. My formula for setting starting price is, what I have in the item +3 -5% of trending price for self insurance + all fees including estimated FVF based on trending price + 30% minimum profit= Auction stating price. If you add a BIN add 30% to that for the BIN. If you are doing free shipping then find out what it will cost to ship to zone 8 and add that into your auction starting price.
The days of EVERYTHING starting a bidding war are over. The majority of your auction listings will get only one bid. If you add all the above up and it exceeds the trending price what I do is create a "lot" this pulls in more potential bidders after each item within the lot. Like If I list say Beatles albums. I can list Abby Road and get $xx.xx and the White album and get $xx.xx but if I combine the two in a listing I #1 save on postage, and #2 pull buyers from the searches of both and double my potential bids.

Usually you have a double restriction-- say, 10 items OR $500.
This means you can list one $500 item
Or 10 $50 items.
Or ten $1.00 items-- you don't have to max out your restriction.
If you list an Auction with a starting bid of $50 and it goes to $500-- or even $1000-- it is still valid.
You may not be allowed to list anything else for a month, though.
I would suggest going with ten $10 Auctions, where you will actually make a little profit on your $10 sale, since Auctions are not popular and you many only get one bid.
The hard part of selling is not the selling.
It will be learning how to ship.
Try to work out how you will send each item promptly and securely before you list it, no matter what the format or price.
