Surely other sellers have received this notice today, Attention, your returns are very high.
Obviously, though we were told differently, eBay is keeping metrics on returns and there must be some determent on BMSV.
Contained in this eMail were stats focused on "items that did not meet buyers expectations."
My question to support it out of those metrics (%), what about the erroneous and what is the method to descore the erroneous like when a buyer claims a SNAD for free return shipping, or the item was fully functional but the buyer did not know how to operate it or the list goes on. What about escalated cases that are found in sellers favor, is that still counted as an opened return?

Might as well go back to the ridiculous defect system they had a couple years ago.

I got the same message ? 1000's of item sold in this last year and i have 6 returns that I don't agree with, because they are really bogus and missuse of the not as described, why do sellers even bother describing the product in detail if it doen't matter Ebays will always side on the buyer and take the sellers money right from thier paypal account. I spoke with an ebays rep and his reply is they have to side with the buyer if they say an item is not as described ? well sellers guess we just raise our prices to cover these kinds of issues, it's just online shop lifting . it is probabley better for the seller to just refund the item and not require the item returned then to have to pay for the return shipping which is so costly now.

I, too, got the message about my High Rate of Returns. I could not remember having ANY returns. Checked my Returns and it shows NO returns in the last 18 months.
I was aggravated and reluctantly called eBay. The wait time was only 2 minutes. The first person couldn't anwer my question. Waited about 45 minutes to talk to another person. She said that I had 2 returns started by buyers but not actually returns. Both were for broken Fragile items (thanks USPS). I refunded the buyers' money in both cases without them having to return them. The eBay person said these were counted against me because Return Cases were started. So NO resolution by eBay. eBay is ridiculous. Told the eBay person that no wonder people sell on Etsy or Amazon or other online marketplaces!

Ya I Understand ebay is taking the idea the customer is always right, but sometime they take it to fare, they should remember that the sellers are relly their cutomer and all the buyers are the sellers cutomers, no every buyer(customer is a good customers) they will lie cuase they know ebay will side with them every time or hope the Seller will just give them a refund and let them keep the item, which is steeling. I have asked buyer to send photo of the damage or problem and no reply or photo but they go straight to file a case. never thought trying to run your own business would be like having a terrible manager that threatens you for everything they think is wrong and doesn't see any or all the great stuff you have done.

But they are so quick to tell you how great you are doing when you call customer service to get a problem resolved. If I'm doing so great, why do you always take a buyer's word over mine?
