I recently had a transaction as a seller where the buyer totally lied about the item. I called ebay to talk to a rep and they told me if I dont believe that the outcome is fair and I could prove it that I could always appeal it. Another total lie. Why does ebay even have a appeal if sellers can not prove to ebay that the buyer is a total fraud????

Ebay leans toward the seller when it comes to appeals - I was extremely and unjustly denied a refund, and actually, as a result of this I will not be buying from E-Bay anymore. Been a customer since 2003, and in this case, the seller apparently lied and said that she had shipped my items 3 days after purchase, but it was a lied, because I asked for a tracking number and 4 days later, I received a stupid excuse, that sorry she was not in the office, and she will send it ASAP. Once I opened the case sure enough she provided the tracking number, which showed that the item was shipped 7 days after I bought it, not 3 like she indicated. A real shame that E-Bay appeals apparently did not read nor bothered to read all the documentation. It is also impossible to get someone physically on the phone. Whomever is making decisions on the other end, doesn't know what they're doing. GOOD BY E-BAY, there's plenty of other sites to buy and sell from. I hope the seller spends my money in medicine. Karma is a bit.....

If the items were delivered to you, you weren’t entitled to a refund and ebay denied the appeal successfully. eBay has no policy that states late shipping & delivery entitles to the buyer to keep the items and get a refund. If you no longer wanted the items, the correct thing to do was request a return using the reason “arrived late”. You would have been allowed to return the items.

Depending on when you bought it, 7 days can easily be 3 business days
