Anyway to disable the automatic "Signature Required" option on Priority Express shipments thru eBay?

It is so frustrating whenever I have to purchase a Priority Express label through ebay that the "Signature required" box is automatically ticked.  Now I have to void a $40 label and buy another. Why is it on by default?? Doesn't make sense especially since now signature is not required on sales over $750.

My guess is that it is checked by default because signature confirmation is included in the price.

Just ship it with signature required and don't void the label.

Why do you want to void it?

Ummm, yes it is.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Because the buyer needs their package to arrive by Friday before they leave for a trip, and if there is no one home to sign for the package then they won't get it in time.

According to my postmaster it is the Post Office that demands the signature, not eBay. They guarantee delivery by a certain date and time. The only proof that they have that they fulfilled their guarantee is the recipient’s signature.

Nope.

The delivery scan is proof of meeting the guaranteed time.

Agreed.   I did the same thing recently and also ended up voiding the label.  Most buyers don't want sig confirmation - it usually defeats the purpose on Express shipments.
