I have recently received a negative comment for late shipping in the hands of FEDEX. I am also experiencing complaints with late USPS deliveries that were sent PRIORITY!
I have NO control over this, and I have NO alternatives
ANYONE else having any issues with buyer dis-satisfaction over late shipping??
Suggestions?

I'm sorry that happened to you. I did get a comment about USPS being slow in one of my feedback comments but luckily it was positive. I wish I had a suggestion.

thank you for your input
Some sellers on Amazon are no longer using USPS and have sent messages out to buyers as we recently received a few.
eBay, as usual, is of NO help sending out a Corporate message to all that there is a serious lag time with USPS.
I include a messages to that effect with each order I respond to and on my selling page.
Not sure what else I can do it is really getting worse!

I shake my head when I see a negative because an item shows up late by a few days. eBay should remove any negatives when arriving late is mentioned. A seller has no control once in the hands of a shipper. I pick my mail up at the P.O. and they could use 3 more bodies to help with all the mail/boxes they get these days. Tell the buyer he/she is now on your blocked list.

@my_boston_baked_beans I see just the one positive feedback with a "negative" comment on your account, so not sure if this will apply to you or not, but just FYI eBay has said they will remove negative and neutral feedback related to carrier delays as part of the extra seller protections they have announced.

Hi Boston, it is frustrating. Ebay at one time did have a banner at the top of most pages, and added a note at checkout to expect shipping delays, but they are no longer doing that. However, two days ago eBay made an announcement that they will remove negative feedback if late delivery was the issue. Here is the announcement below:
"As a follow up to our recent announcement about extending Seller Protections through September we want to clarify what protections are in place:
These protections are extended through September 30th."
Oh wait, I see the negative comment was made in a positive feedback. I don't think I would have responded to that. It calls attention to the comment when otherwise very few people would even notice it.
Now that holiday shopping is drawing closer, I am concerned that these shipping delays could get worse.

I have had multiple issues with late shipments from USPS. Be aware that you can file a search request for your package and the local postal employee (where the package is being shipped) will receive a request to look into it and then they will call you to help you know where the package is or when they expect it to be delivered. It doesn't make it arrive any faster necessarily, but it can be reassuring to the buyer that you are actively trying to help them and they are less likely to leave negative feedback.

We've been going around in circles with eBay's "customer service." We rec'd negative feedback BEFORE the item was even received... WITH a tracking number.... And yet, they still were able to leave neg feedback. Despite eBay's policies and announcements (regarding sellers are not at fault for slow mail) - we were told this was "not approved" to be removed. I'm still wondering how they could leave neg feedback BEFORE it was even received - just flabbergasted. And - I've spoken, emailed, put in appeals - we've done EVERYTHING possible. Persistence on our part is understated.
At this point, it's just the fact that eBay is now taking this stance with sellers - that you are at fault for slow delivery, be it FedEx or USPS, and completely open to negative feedback. For small sellers, eBay is making it nearly impossible to function.
