I ordered some items on the 10th and the tracking shows two things -
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item with date and location
Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending, next day same location
The main info at the top just says "Accepted".
No updates since then, a postal trace they claim they don't have it.
With this shipper they pack and put a label on it one day and USPS typically picks up the next.
The question is does that update indicate a USPS scan and it just hasn't been scanned since?
I don't think it's in the system or moving or it would have scanned again somewhere by now. My shipper isn't much help because the sales people are all working from home due to the virus.

It was picked up by USPS and scanned at the post office that picked it up. It will receive another scan at the main sorting center. USPS has been running late for over two weeks and now they are running slower than I have ever seen before.
Packages sit for days between scans. They do seem to be getting delivered just very late. I have never seen such shipping delays before.

Here's what they said in the response to the trace:

Of course that could be a lie and it wouldn't shock me.
I mean normal transit time from there to here is 2 days. I've had stuff take four days to get a second scan but it got scanned. This one has done nothing in a week.

Nothing much you can do except wait for the EDD to pass. Be sure to check the tracking on the USPS web sit, not just eBay.

I just want to make sure they have it and it's not sitting at the shipper. If it's at the shipper then maybe they can cancel the label and send it UPS.

It may not get a scan for 7-14 days. That's around what it's been.

This is what I am saying, it's been seven days right now.
All the packages I have sent out have gotten some kind of scan in less time than that. One even got delivered.

USPS can not give you a piece of mail back once they have it. Only way is by paying for USPS package intercept plus postage and having it delivered back to you.

I had a few packages not get a scan for 8 days. It might of even been 9. I lost count. Give it until Monday as often USPS gets to some of the back log over the weekend.

I wish people would read the post before they answer.
I didn't ship the package, the package is coming to me.
It's not clear if USPS has the package or not.

USPS has the package. You state it says accepted. That means it has been accepted. There are delays of around 14 days until a next scan from USPS.
Your package is sitting in Transit waiting to get a scan at a sort facility. Next you may see something like:
Origin acceptance. Time. date
Then an hour later...
Processed through USPS facility. Time. date.
That's USPS covering their butt. You may not get the origin acceptance scan either and just the processed one.
All this time your package is with thousands of others sitting in limbo in the USPS system. Things are not entirely clear or perfect with USPS but this is how it is right now.
If you want entirely clear have your packages shipped with ups or fedex, Not using USPS as the final delivery agent.
