OK let's cut to the chase since I've already seen a thread on UPS scamming from 2023 but it was locked so figured to re-open the subject.
Simply put, my box dimensions were 20x20x4 at 3 lbs. Suddenly I get a message from ebay saying UPS decided my box was 21x21x4 not only that but my weight was some 40 lbs or some Hollywood fiction weight.
Mind you I specifically use custom 20x20x4 boxes purchased from a company that ships them to my house so how on Gpd's green earth did they decide they were 21x21 instead when the painting is 20x20 and barely fits in snug lmao. Clearly, as the guy from last year's said, it is either a scam or they or their machine was high when it.took the measurements and ill take the first ofcourse. I've been using the same **bleep** boxes same **bleep** shipping cost at $10 by usps and ups was a bit cheaper so went with them this time and now they are asking for an addition $10. I wanted to save a dollar with UPS to eat up $10 in scam charges.
Finally, the guy said he tried to get his money back and no use because UPS wanted the original box to revalidate and obviously the buyer is in some other state lol so pointless. I'll try with ebay and post the results here in case someone went through the same ordeal
If you have any advice let me know please
Thanks
HH

Box dimensions are always measured on the outside, and rounded up. Labeled / advertised box dimensions are nearly always one inch smaller on every plane than the shipped dimensions will be.

So I looked at a 21x21x5 box 3 lbs. Zone 1 USPS would be $11.49 ground advantage, UPS Ground Saver $11.84
Zone 8 would be $23.11, UPS Ground Saver would be $25.57.
