Over the last week we have had 8 customers now with lost or very slow moving packages from USPS. We have several cases open for item not received, some showing out for delivery to the buyer, from 8 days ago with no delivery, one in CA, one in TX and one in MO. 3 Show being scanned at our local post office with no scans since, 7 days now. All of our orders were shipped same day or the next day, well within out 2 day handling. Just curious of anyone else is seeing this as well. Seems like the postal service is collapsing, it sure is hurting our business. Needless to say we have angry customers, we feel so helpless.

Phoenix is pretty bad

It's wise. It seems to be just my shipping tubes that just sit at the 85043 sorting plant. I really don't expect for them to be delivered and I'll be refunding on all of the.

So frustrating! I have an envelope I mailed out from Fairburn on April 9th to California and it's STILL NOT THERE! This is ridiculous! I mailed other things that day, now I have to check if my other envelopes were ever received!

EBay standard envelopes are known to be challenging.

This is the new USPS. I have had the same issues with packages and I have just kept a check on the items and reached out to the customers to let them know that I was tracking their packages and luckily everything worked out ok.

With those, I find that you can avoid a lot of issues by adding the correct amount of stamps to make it to the non-machineable rate. The items usually scan better and you can then use a 4"X7" kraft bubble envelope to ship your items much like you can do through LetterTrack Pro. I also recommend usng a slightly thicker envelope that is less likely to get caught in the machines. I get a selection of brown A2, A4, A6, A7, A8 and No. 10 brown kraft envelopes and I always use a clear glue stick to make sure the envelopes stay smoothly sealed so they are less likely to get caught in the sorting machines.
Next, I contact my customers after two days if an envelope did not scan locally and let them know that I did indeed ship it and that if anything were to happen and the item not be delivered that they are covered by the eBay moneyback guarantee. I also let them know that the item will most likely show up in the system when it reaches the USPS Regional Sorting Station nearest to their location. Simply communicating with the customers will almost always prevent bad feedback being left.
Lastly, if a customer attempts to leave you negative feedback because an item is not delivered, eBay will take the feedback down as long as your item scanned somewhere in the system. When you get their claim you just need to explain to them that eBay policy is for a 5 business day waiting period and if the item has not registered as received at their address by then, you will notify eBay and they will give them their money back. This will not impact you in this case. If you automatically give them their moneyback and close out the case, you are out your money. If the item shows that it was delivered and they claim it was not, you again are covered because they can't provide negative feedback in this case, and 9 times out of 10 eBay will not refund them their money either because many times the customers doing this are frequent fliers regarding delivery claims. Sometimes if it is a persons first claim, they can appeal it through eBay and eBay will give them their money back still and not impact you as the seller like they do in other claims where there is proof that you did ship the item.

Sorry you are going through that. I am a customer who has had 5 packages from different sellers show as "delivered", even though nobody brought them to my door. This is unusual, but we know it's not your fault. As a buyer, we can't do anything but ask the seller to open a service request. I hope this helps

As was mentioned to you in the other thread(s) to which you've posted, this has nothing to do with eBay and everything to do with your carrier. You need to take your tracking numbers for your missing packages over to your local post office and ask them what's going on with the carrier: where was he when he made the Delivered scans, for starters.

Have not shipped anything by USPS recently but have had several Ebay orders (as buyer) and other vendor orders super late. One item took 29 days from expected delivery date. These were score books needed for the start of softball season. Had to drive 120 miles to get replacements in time for start of season. Am waiting for 2 other items that left regional facility 6 days ago. I know it is not the sellers part but i am leaning towards not buying from anyone shipping USPS.
