Anyone Else Having Shipping Issues?

The tracking information says Delayed, Unexpected Delay, Delayed Due To Mechanical Failure, Delayed Due to Unforeseen Circumstances. And it just goes on and on with Delays and unspecific explanations. The last time I’ve seen tracking information such as this, the box arrived torn to pieces with the contents inside the box smashed and badly damaged. I should have taken a picture of the box before opening it. Seeing the box in that condition, which was left near my front door, was just incredible. The carrier ran off in a hurry, too afraid that he might have to talk with the recipient.

What shipping service is being used ? Some services such as fed Ex, in my case, have been having  issues. Which is one of the reasons I don't use them if I have a choice. And I never use them to ship any of my ebay sales.  I would think that you  should be  concerned depending what is being shipped - and how your seller is packing that item.

I've used FedEx for several years, and haven't had any problems with packages being damaged.

If you are the shipper, you should get insurance on all packages or at least the ones that could possible be damaged easily. Also, you should ask the receiver for photos of the damage to the actual item and the shipping box, and don't give any refunds until you receive the photos. You then need to file a damage claim with the carrier, and once it it approved, you can refund the buyer, but only if they open a return request so that you can get a credit for the selling fees.

If you are the receiver of a damage package, contact the seller with photos and have them file a claim. Pretty simple stuff

If the package never arrives, you can also file a claim. Most carriers provide a minimum of $100 insurance at not cost, and then it goes up for every $100 in value. The minimum for USPS is $50 for Priority Mail, but you can pay for additional value insurance.
