Is anyone having any better luck than me with the "tracking" provided with the ebay standard envelope?
In my case it looks like over 50% of my ESE shipments are delivered with no tracking beyond "label created " or "tracking number provided" ebay promises buyers there is tracking with these shipments and provides a number for them to hover over if they're the type. This results in buyer confusion & annoyance, and like I said I've just answered my 3rd "why haven't you shipped my item" type message today.
Anyone having better results or am I just unlucky?

I use the USPS tracking system instead of ebay's tracking system for better results.

Yes, but I sell cheap stuff, maybe $10 +/-
USPS First Class package 1 OZ $3.86
ESE envelope 1OZ .53
Hard to sell a $10 trinket if you have to charge $4 to ship it

Heard about this where buyer can't see tracking and...rather not say the other stuff.
I do the old .58 cents or more with writing addresses on my envelopes. I can visit the post office and do the free weighing of my stuff if needed and add my own postage (I buy in bulk in eBay under retail
cost for sellers selling stamps ). Cost effective for me. I think I read a few here where tracking is not there for these inexpensive items going in the mail. I am not sure why someone needs tracking for everything.
I do tracking for high end sales or those with no or little feedback.
Most buyers on eBay are honest in my experience.
I don't do tracking for something a few dollars.

Yes, I shipped with stamps before the ESE program was expanded to coins with few problems, I'm considering going back to that method
