So today I lost a bunch of money because apparently the item did not arrive fast enough. The item was shipped the next day, and the tracking number was given aswell. So I am quite furious, knowing that I did my part and the client couldn't be patient, I lost a bunch of money and got my Paypal in negative balance. Was I supposed to hijack the airplane the package was on and drive it directly to the country of the customer or what? The item was shipped at 12th of April, and the refund was given on 3rd of May. Apparently, 20 days is way too much to go from China to Germany during covid and Easter holidays, with free shipping. I've bought items from eBay that came 40-50 days later, and never complained.

If your item does not arrive within the time frame that you have set up, the buyer can do such things. Perhaps you need to adjust your arrival time listed on your items...especially that it seems as if you are drop shipping items from China (you are in Greece?).
Technically, it is a no-no to sell items that you do not have on hand.

I have not had a problem with eBay's ETA but I am located in the US. I think that if you had shipped from Greece, this may not have been an issue.
I know that your idea sounded good but trying to ship from China without knowing Chinese logistics can be a nightmare. You would have to coordinate with your Chinese supplier in regards to who your carrier would be to get it to a customer in a timely manner...like I said...logistical nightmare if you don't know the ropes...I don't know the ropes either which is why I would not do it.
I give you credit...you did own the mistake and not very many posters do that.

I believe I've read that eBay has announced that it will be showing some leniency on late deliveries owing to the pandemic. Many flights have been cancelled so USPS delivery times have been somewhat erratic. Unfortunately, in your case that doesn't seem to have been enough.
Hopefully, your customer has enough integrity to either return the item or repay you for it if it is delivered after they received their refund. Alas! I'm not sure I'd hold my breath though.

Thank you for your reply. I hope so my friend.

Thanks for your message. Yeah I tried dropshipping, but never again. As for the arrival time, I never set one, I only selected economy shipping on shopmaster(a platform I use to manage sales, products etc), and then eBay probably set a small time frame of arrival. I heard eBay has a horrible system but I guess I didn't want to believe it.
eBay is not a horrible system ... drop-shipping (and ShopMaster - a drop-shipping platform) are horrible systems.

I am in Japan now and for the most part, all packages sent from March to April have yet to arrive to their destinations particularly in the U.S. and Australia. 99% of customers have been patient and know that packages take time in the middle of this pandemic. Then there are those few that are think they should have the package at the snap of a finger. I blame the heartless, impatient customer rather than delivery system.

but giving you a period of 20 days (not business days) during the covid-19 outbreak and easter holidays to get a package from China to Germany with free shipping is impossible. I remember in the good days I had to wait at least 40 days to get my package from China.
Any items that ship from China have had massive delays since the USA put an air-travel ban from China on January 31. Basically, nothing has shipped from China, if it does ship then the delays have been prohibitively long. Though it is typically a bad business decision to drop-ship from China (or anywhere else), it is madness to drop-ship from China these days.

Your listing states that items ship using UPS Worldwide Express and delivery will take 3 or 4 business days. Was that service used?
It is frustrating when buyers won't wait longer than the estimated delivery to open a claim although in this case the buyer seems to have waited longer than many do.
