Accidently paid Ebay for shipping label

Hello,

I just sold my first item on ebay after over 12 years of not selling.

Because I currently do not have a working printer,  knew I would need to go to a USPS office to send in a flat rate box.

However, wanting to learn more about buying shipping labels thru ebay, I inadvertently clicked on something that charged me for the label!

I already sent the item today,  paid USPS and entered the tracking number on ebay.

Could someone please let me if I can cancel the charge from ebay for their shipping label?  Or maybe let me know how I can contact someone at ebay to explain what I did?

Thank you very much!

Re: Accidently paid Ebay for shipping label

You can void a USPS label purchased through eBay for up to 24 hours @itsnicetwice. It takes about 2-4 weeks for USPS to process the credit to your original form of payment. Go to this page, find the label and under the actions column select Void.

Edit: It's a cost savings to purchase labels online and eBay does have an option where you can generate a QR code for the label. Show the QR code at the local PO where they'll scan it and they'll print the label for you. The QR code will be sent to your e-mail so you'll need a smartphone to access the code while at the PO.

Thanks for the correction, man. I did get that wrong. It's 24 hours to reprint a USPS labels. 5 days to void it. 👍

Re: Accidently paid Ebay for shipping label

It never dawned on me that's what you were thinking, I knew 24 hours had something to do with it but it never clicked. Cost me over $7 to learn that! Started selling last year on a mobile and clicking SHIPPING LABELS in sellers hub would just send me back to my Ebay. Finally called home after going in circles for 5 days and walked the wife through it on a laptop and WALLA she easily canceled one after I ate the first one.

Funny thing is I tried it not long ago and it works fine but now I can only open messages through sellers hub  on a mobile. So glitchy and infuriating when it's all new and you follow the instructions from Ebay. Wasted hours on that one never knowing about these boards for help.

One good thing voiding labels is they say 21 days for approval but it always seems to be much quicker for me.......thankfully!
