Hello, I got a message from a buyer tonight asking if I accidentally shipped the wrong order because their package was shown delivered to Florida instead of Canada where they live. I immediately realized that I must've made a mistake on uploading the tracking numbers since I'm not printing labels myself yet (I'm going to from now on) and messaged them back with the correct tracking numbers straight away.
I then went into my orders and figured I could just upload the correct tracking to each order. One of which was already delivered in Florida, I put in the correct tracking number and now it shows delayed shipment with no tracking number at all and won't let me put in the tracking, which I assume because that tracking number was already finished/delivered. I should've realized that but I was just trying to quickly correct my mistake and didn't think enough about that causing an issue.
So, Canada order still has Florida tracking, and Florida order has no tracking at all and is already delivered, but eBay doesn't know this since I messed up the tracking on that order. I've messaged both buyers with the correct tracking numbers which they now understand the correct tracking but eBay is stuck with these messed up orders which I don't know how to fix now. I don't want the Florida package to stay in limbo forever telling me it was also a late shipment, I never knew you could mark something as shipped twice and then have that marked as late when the first time it was marked as shipped correctly and in range.
I'm still a new seller figuring everything out (on another account with not as much feedback) and I've been reading these forums and other people's issues and learning as much as I can to avoid and correct them but I haven't came across this particular issue and thought I would've been careful enough to never allow this to happen. Thank you for reading.

Oh boy. Well, there is no way to swap those tracking numbers as far as I know. Once it's used on another listing, It is too late. You can add new tracking but, one that is in the system will just cause errors, as you have found out.
You have two options on getting the defects for the late shipping removed:
1. As the buyer to leave feedback and mark it as "arrived on time" which should correct the defect.
2. If you do not want to involve the buyer in this mistake on your end: You can call ebay after it shows delivered and explain the situation to a CS. If you end up with someone who understands what has happened, they will usually remove it. This however is a **bleep** shoot. Sometimes CS is difficult to communicate with.

Alright I'll try contacting customer support when it's appropriate then first. I don't want to involve my buyers in my own mistake if it can be helped. Thank you for the help.

Did you go into your sold items section, because you can update/revise your tracking number, I have done it many times in the past.

Once the tracking number shows delivery, you cannot change it on Ebay. Before that happens, just edit the tracking number (click "Edit" next to the number).
