Misleading Free Shipping

The suggested listings say free shipping but when you go to the actual item listing it says it's not free.

Reading up on this issue it seems it's been an issue for some years now ... Why?

This listing could be used as evidence against eBay for the ACCC as false advertising.

This is a side effect of the app reading Free Local Pickup and displaying it as Free Shipping. Scroll down to the shipping section @marc_s71 and you'll see there are both free (pickup) and paid (shipping) options.

This is the .com board and you're using the .com.au site/app. The .com.au discussion board might prove to be more helpful for local issues.

Actually it happens to me frequently as well.  'Free Shipping' changes miraculously to 'Does not ship to AK/HI' or a large shipping charge when I click on the item.  I attribute it to lazy/sloppy coding, and expect ebay to pay as much attention to it as all the other terrible screwups on their site -- none at all 😛
