It's hard to say.

They could have it, but it hasn't been scanned in the system yet.

How long has it been showing that?

I had a package last year that showed that until the day they delivered it.

I have a package right now (Priority) that was picked up with 5 other items; all items EXCEPT this one shows 'received by USPS' and they are ALL 1st Class. 

What that means is...who knows, but it's happened before and every package has found it's destination in 10+ years.

"Shipment received package acceptance pending" is the message shown in the tracking when the shipper used a SCAN form. It means the seller had the form scanned when physically dropping off his or her packages at the post office. The barcodes on the individual packages may or may not get scanned until they arrive in the destination state though.

It doesn’t mean USPS doesn’t have the package. 
Be patient and check again in a few days…by then it will have another scan.
