Hello to everyone, and thank you for your time. Can a person at pickup point simply refuse to give me my package?
I received notification from Ebay that the item I purchased arrived to the pickup point. I went there, but the person at the shop wanted me to hand her over my smartphone with notification. I opened notification that I received and showed her notification while holding it, but refused to hand over my phone because I had issues in the past with that. A person refused to give me anything even though the notification was in front of her eyes and said to come back another day when there will be another person working at the shop. Unfortunately, it was the only day off that I had before the package is sent back to the seller. I even gave up and agreed to hand over my phone, but she still refused to give me any service. Can she do that? Can a person working at the pickup point refuse to give you the package just because? Is there anything I can do?

Can you define "pickup point" more clearly?

The local shop that receives items from ebay for people to pick up.

What is this pickup point? A post office? A lobby desk? A place where you do not reside? Things get more questionable the more vague it becomes. If this was a normal transaction, the item was delivered to that address on file & the transaction is complete as of that date. You should have had no issues picking up beyond proving who you are with ID as the item would have been addressed to you...
You need to post upon the ebay location more in relation to your location within the world as that is where you will find better answers. I see you are located in Israel - you will want to seek answers there. The US won't know how to answer for that country.

Have you talked to the shop owner?

This pick up point is in Israel? If so, most posters here are in the US and aren't familiar with pick up points in your country. In the US, packages are usually delivered to a house, business or picked up at the post office.
