A lesson to be learned from all the talk about the USPS CHAOS

The chaos at usps is very real, and we should all avoid them like the plague.

I’m considering never using them again, absolutely pathetic this season: 3 lost packages, 2 unscanned deliveries, faulty website, employees unapologetic.

I have had very good service this year with usps: no late deliveries, no lost packages and no damaged packages.

I can only guess that your issues were with your other account, or with purchases.

My items are (knock on wood) doing OK.  One Priority in Ohio was a bit slow, but other deliveries doing well.

I have not experienced any problems with USPS. I never list during the Christmas season to avoid problems.

I have had virtually zero problems over the years, it this is how chaos looks like, I am for it.

I only use USPS and  my items are getting coast to coast in 3-4 days. Anything I use without tracking gets to its destination really fast by just reading feedback some buyers leave. Never lost anything in the USA.

I think anything with tracking of course will take a long time.

Some items with tracking are not showing up as "delivered" but probably are "delivered"by you. Not every buyer is going to be honest. I have an item currently in route from March and one from October that never showed as "delivered. Luckily, these buyers were honest and left positive feedback. But the tracking on the 2 I mentioned have not closed and are still open. I haven't checked all my trackings....but I laughed at these two.

Not seeing anything resembling widespread 'chaos' here. In fact one Ground Advantage package I shipped from Chicago last Friday was delivered in California on Monday. There are no doubt bottlenecks in various areas but I have not noticed any consistent delays. I would say it is a little better than the past few years.

I am with you, I could not be any happier with USPS and their services, especially the young lady at the desk at my local Post Office who is 84 years old and still getting it done.

Chaos and plague? Yikes, you know you are free to use less chaotic carriers...

I have had absolutely zero chaos this year. I shipped 5 items on Monday, one of which has already been delivered and 3 others of which are on track to be delivered tomorrow. One of the things I shipped yesterday is already in the buyer's state and is on track to be delivered tomorrow too.

It looks like everything I shipped Monday and yesterday (all GA) will in fact arrive before Christmas.

We got 2 packages here in Chicago today that were both Priority Mail and both shipped on Monday the 18th - so thats 2 days. One came from Colorado and the other from PA.

I like the Informed Delivery service from USPS because they track anything inbound to your address without you having to know the tracking number so you can see the day it was mailed and follow it through to delivery at your place.

I haven't heard any talk of Chaos ,Or seen and Chaos.   I'm pretty happy with the USPS!

And I'm going to say, with 3000+ feedback. that you are a pretty active seller, and not avoiding the USPS like the Plague!

One of my packages was delivered this morning  after two weeks and being stuck without scan for 10 days. Going from NJ to MA.

Package from NJ to VA was lost paid by USPS, of course it barely covered a portion of the actual cost.

Third package sent to FL never got beyond “arrival to unit”, I will be opening a claim for loss today.

The bigger issue is the INR claims that don’t give enough time for the packages to be found and delivered. The buyer ends up refunded, free item. The seller ends up in the hole and USPS washes their hands saying “delivered”.

We need a more equitable system especially for valuable items. eBay treats all sales as if they are cheap trinkets.
