I have a customer that just messaged me saying that he would like a refund because even after using it for over a month and taking very good care of it, the flash stays up and it wont stay down anymore. Do I refund the whole price or just the purchase price minus the shipping? He received this item December 18th. Thanks Ann

You don’t have to refund him, the MBG expired over a month ago. If you choose to refund him you can refund the item price only.

Ignore them and put them on your Blocked Bidder List.

Ignore them . Responding to their message will just prolong the situation. And don't refund them anything unless you have to-- which isn't now.

That is a very common problem with that particular camera. I have seen a lot of those with the flash that does not retract. You can push it down, but it springs back up. The flash stops retracting, but still works. As to whether or not to refund, you're not obligated to per the MBG. I wouldn't. That camera is about 25 years old, sold as used, and after he had it for two months, something happened. That shouldn't be your problem.

Your buyer had this camera for two months and has been using it. You don't know if they damaged the item and they are now trying to get a refund from you. If he had asked for a refund early on it's possible that it could have been defective, but now you don't know how well they treated the camera. I would deny the refund because your camera wasn't even new to begin with so there weren't any warranty issues involved. When I buy used equipment I buy a limited warranty from Square Trade to protect my investment. That's what he should have done. Of course, this is your decision and you have to decide how you want to handle it. But why give a refund two months later when you are not obligated.
