In my area, pickups are scheduled online, but the pickup driver operates out of the larger of the two local post offices. The pickup driver is not the regular Letter Carrier. The times I've had the same problem, I've called the local PO and reported the problem to the supervisor on duty at the time. Sometimes that gets the item picked up, sometimes I decide to bring it to the PO in person.
It's really all about proper supervision of the pickup employee at the local level.

Our house is a duplex and doesn't look like a duplex. That info goes into the form.
I know my neighbor very well. We regularly exchange mail.

This is clearly a problem with the doofuses at your local PO. You're going to need to go see them in person, and light a fire under whichever head doofus is in charge of tracking and distributing pickup requests to the relevant carriers.

On the other side of the coin - I did not get home mail delivery Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday of last week. Because we got a couple of inches of snow one day...in Michigan...in December.
They can't always be prepared for these things.

aparently it isn't just the buyers who can't read.
go reread my post.
I had a pickup scheduled. As in I went to their website and inputted all the info, gave them wight and everything. I left notes that it's a duplex, etc.
I got a confirmation email from the United States Postal service that a pick up was scheduled for each day. Even got an email confirming they had picked up on one day.

No longer the case (and not for a long time).

Not anymore. You can now schedule pick-up of any package.

Yesterday I couldn't deliver up my one road. No snow, if I could figure out how to post a picture from my phone to these boards I would show you why. And no there was no way to prepare for it.
