Why can they offer 14 day return Kenko Auto Extension Tube

and I can't ?

You can--in certain categories.

From the 2018 Spring Seller Update:

"Certain product categories have unique retail standards and sellers will be able to offer variations on the new returns policy options. Categories that will continue have the option to offer 14-day returns include Collectibles & Art, Cameras & Photo and Medical, Mobility & Disability Equipment."

Looks like 14 day returns are a return policy option in Cameras&Photo unless eBay changed things since that update.

However, 30 day returns are required for Top Rated Plus even in that category. You are Top rated, but none of your listings qualify for TRP (no returns, no free returns, etc). The seller of that item you posted is not even TR, so 14day returns would be a non-issue to him.

When I tried to do a listing using the advanced listing form just now in the Cameras & Photo > Lenses & Filters > Lens Adapters, Mounts & Tubes category, the only options were 30 and 60 day. When I changed to a collectibles category, 14 day became an option.

So I don't know. Something may have changed, and that seller's GTC listing is cruising on borrowed time until it ends/relists or eBay forces the change. Maybe the policies are different for non-US sellers? @nobody*s_perfect

Im TR and tried to list 14 day in Camera. No go. Changed it back no return.

ebay might as well change name to Ebaibaba.

Not every sub-category in Cameras & Photo is eligible for 14-day returns.

Then why doesn’t the seller update say that? (Kind of a rhetorical question). It only says cameras and photo. If some sub categories are excluded, eBay needs to be transparent about that.

Are you sure you're in the right category? I was able to set up a listing with a 14-day return policy by clicking on the "Sell now" button below the Gallery image in the listing.

Yeah, I agree ... eBay's policies are so random, it is just hard to keep up.

I still get only 30 or 60 day options doing that.
