100% Tracking upload What happens when you print & mail but weather closes P.O. services?

I have items that sold & printed labels to ship, but weather closed the P.O. service,home pickup.

These are not items I can put in a slot or want to drop in a bin, if they really fit.

Does anyone know if calling eBay speaking with rep would keep my 100% tracking record.

From what I have seen on this forum site, calling e-bay rep.s will do no good. Just ship as soon as possible and let the buyers know that the post office closed (weather related????).

The tracking uploaded metric requires that you enter the tracking number within your handling time.  But it does not have to be scanned during your handling time.  It just needs to be scanned  once during the journey in order to count as a positive for the uploaded metric.

The late shipping metric is different. It may be affected if the label doesn't get scanned within your handling time and IF it arrives after the estimated delivery late.   If it is scanned late and arrives before ebay's estimated delivery, then it won't be considered late.

Calling CS will not really help. Touching bases your buyers by a friendly email always help. I took a vacation for  2 weeks in October and even though it said I was on vacation (I was open for sales) I actually had a lot of sales. I emailed every buyer about me being on vacation and when I would return to mail their item out. No one complained. I think communication to the buyer works when we have bad weather and delays. Never ghost a buyer. I personally would not do next day shipping during the winter season...summer absolutely.
