I'm sending a 6 pound package to a buyer in Germany. Ordinarily I would use USPS Priority Mail (cost $63.75) The new program was $57.00. Pirateship was the same $63.75.
So first - yes saved some money.
BUT
It shows a ship to address of:
EBAY INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY LAX
with an address in Redondo Beach CA.
and it is marked "Priority Mail 2-day". It shows a typical USPS tracking number but then below that a secondary bar code beginning ESUS. It is that ESUS number which shows up on my sold items page, not the USPS number. So if you do not make a note of that USPS number you will have no way of verifying that it actually made it to Redondo Beach.
I clicked the tracking number and it shows an estimated delivery date of Sunday March 15.
I know from past experience that shipments to Germany have only taken about 7-10 days by USPS so I am concerned about that 3/15 date. What is my buyer going to think when he sees that?
There is a reference number at the bottom of the label but I do not see any connection between that number and my order so it must be an internal thing to help them sort the package,.
Neither by buyer's name nor address nor country shows anywhere on the label.
It does show my address as the "ship from" although on these it also shows my eBay username.
If we ship to a freight forwarder then the delivery is considered complete once the forwarder gets it. i.e. no Not Received claim later on from the ultimate buyer.
Will the same apply here? If it gets lost between CA and Germany am I covered?
UNFORTUNATELY the label has the same orientation problems that FedEx labels have. I had to do a "screen print" and transfer it to a jpeg program to be able to rotate the label to get it to print correctly.
Hope this helps.

USPS 1st class shipping is the best option. I bought twice from the ame Seller. 1st time item shipped through USPS package was received un 10 days. Later bought another item which shipped through GSP to Central América, It happend that the package went to Germany and got lost. One months later I'm still waiting for the package to arrive to maje the claim

HI! how did you solve this? my buyer opened a case for unauthorized transaction and I wasn't able to prove I shipped it and it was showing as delivered, because paypal said "we couldn't verify the tracking number"
To win unauthorized transaction at PayPal, you only need to show
- actual paper that you shipped it to the address on file
- tracking is nice, but not needed to be online
- and doesn't have to show delivered.

Well, I tried doing some extra digging AND I found out this:
The buyer filed a claim with PayPal but PayPal can't validate the tracking information based on my ESUS number. How do I resolve this?
Respond to the PayPal claim and advise that the item was shipped using a new delivery option with eBay which does not show up on the standard shipping sites.
Include the ESUS tracking number and either of the following links which PayPal can use to track the shipment - trackmyshipment.com or webtrack.dhlglobalmail.com.
If you actually check your ESUS status on for example the DHL link it will give you ALSO the USPS tracking number ! THANK GOD. It really **bleep** me off the non communication between ebay and paypal, and how the didnt even try to look for my best interest.

That's because PayPal would prefer not to dig into their pocket and pay you when, for an Unauthorized Transaction case, you can prove:
- PayPal told you to ship it "there".
- And you shipped it "there".
PayPal loses. Done.
The PayPal user agreement states:
Unauthorized Transactions additional requirements
To be eligible for PayPal’s Seller Protection program for a buyer’s Unauthorized Transaction claim, you must meet both the basic requirements listed above and the additional requirements listed below:
- The payment must be marked “eligible” or “partially eligible” for PayPal's Seller Protection on the Transaction Details page.
- You must provide proof of shipment or proof of delivery as described below.
Proof of shipment
Online or physical documentation from a shipping company that includes:
- Date of shipment
- An address for the recipient that matches the shipping address on the Transaction Details page
- An address for the recipient showing at least the
1. city/state,
-or-
2. city/country,
- or-
3. zip/postal code (or international equivalent). [i.e. Just the zip code is enough.]
So if you had saved a piece of paper, the required physical documentation, showing that you bought shipping for that address, you win. It's that simple.

I am trying to opt out of this program. It seems all of Europe goes through Germany and is then delivered to the individual countries. Then the customer has to pay customs duties. (That are not charged when I ship directly from the US)
Bottom line: It's not faster, the customer could pay more, package is "lost in tracking" from the time it leaves the forwarded until it's actually delivered and it's not easier to use.
But we tried it for several months.

There is no need to VOID the label as your monthly invoice will only be charged if you end up USING that label.

When I am trying to learn more about or track an "ES" number, I go to EasyShip tracking:
http://parcelsapp.com/en/carriers/easyship
That usually shows you a lot of detail about what has happened to the parcel.
It is very helpful to look from a desktop computer and look on the far lower right of the page... there you will see "other tracking numbers used" and you can experiment with them to see which company/shipper they correlate to.
Best wishes and good luck.

Can someone help me clarify things in regards to Uanuthorized Transaction (UA) chargebacks regarding this shipping service (eBay Standard International Delivery)?
I have faced 100's of these and always won---they were simple, just show proof of shipping to the address on the PayPal invoice. All I had to do was upload the receipt that printed with my shipping label and let PayPal connect the dots. Like someone else mentioned you don't even have to show delivery.
However with this service you are not able to show that you shipped it to the address on the PayPal invoice which PayPal can see. You can only show that it was shipped to the intermediate being used. Furthermore unless their is a setting that can be changed, this label like the FedEx ones, don't print with shipping receipts (In that instance I always print double labels, one to affix to the package, the other to staple to my invoice and file away).
Thoughts on this process? I have slowed my sales down to a crawl these past few years but at one point I could face several UA chargebacks concurrently over the course of a few days. I could see these being a nightmare in those instances.

Hi, i had bought from a seller in eBay last month and stated tracking no as ESUS17952063 with “eBay Send” as shipping company instead of USPS. The package was delivered wrongly to Germany instead of my Singapore address. Seller claimed he had sent correctly with Singapore address on 15 Mar 2020, but why it ended up in Germany on 3 Apr 2020.
I am not able to find tracking no ESUS17952063 under USPS. I have opened case with eBay to resolve this matter. I am really disappointed why the package ended up delivered in Germany instead of Singapore.
Does anyone ever encounter this before?
I don' t use this program but I used something similar via stamps.com and I did not like it because of the lack of transparency.
All international packages were mailed to a hub in New Jersey via USPS with the regular USPS tracking number. Unless I changed it later, this tracking number was uploaded to ebay. The first problem was that when it was deliver to the New Jersey hub, it showed as delivered. Then I got messages from buyers saying they did not receive it but the tracking showed ' delivered'.
After they received the package in their New Jersey hub they printed out the international label (from the info I input when I printed the domestic shipping label to New Jersey). What I think happened to your package was that someone at the hub made a mistake and printed out a wrong international shipping label, although this did not happen to me.
Another problem I had was that some addresses (to CHina) are long and as I found out later( when a package was returned) their printer omitted a line when they printed the international label at their hub.
I don't use them anymore, it was just too much of a headache. I just use USPS, safe, reliable with clear tracking info from the beginning to end.

I tried the new eBay Intl. shipping for an item sent from Seattle, WA to Canada on 4/10. Eleven days later tracking info shows package at Terminal Location Carson in California. The estimated delivery date is 5/19 well over a month estimated transit time. Will never use this option again, free would too expensive for this service.
To add to my trouble a non-machinable First Class Letter envelope sent on 4/10 from Seattle to Oregon has not been delivered 11 days after dropping it off at the post office and now the buyer has opened a case against me. The buyer does not communicate. However this individual has good feedback.
