It was first noticed in early May . Based on checking which posts in my own posting history still have the "Edit reply" option, the time limit now seems to be about 24 hours.
In early February, there was a glitch that allowed unlimited edit time, and when the glitch was fixed, the edit allowance had increased from 5 minutes to 24 hours.
