What's up with all of the "Re" on a thread in Notifications and on the thread itself????

I noticed this week the sudden appearance of "Re" on thread notifications and posts within threads ... and they grow as the thread is replied to ...

There's already been a thread posted about this, and Nicole has been @ mentioned in that thread.

Notification 'bell' seems to have a glitch with 'Re:

We have a ticket submitted for this issue. Hopefully when the fix is implemented the Re's will also get removed.

Okay, it looks like they are working on this ... the "RE"'s have disappeared but then so have the thread titles on the Notification page ... pic below ... maybe I just caught the update in midstream ...
